Summer Term 1 runs for 4 weeks, from the week beginning 28th April to the 19th May. Artsters Play sessions are perfect for children aged 9 months - 4 years. Siblings over 12 months can join us for half price and siblings under 12 months are FREE! WHAT HAPPENS AT AN ARTSTERS PLAY SESSION? We start our sessions with our Artsters song and a whole-group 'Mini Masterpiece' inspired by a different artist each week. This is followed by process art play at a range of stations that you can explore freely, with a mixture of artist-related activities alongside core resources such as our easels and paper roll. There will be two smaller bowls of soapy water provided at the end of the session to clean hands, and a larger tub for a more thorough clean. Listen out for the Rainbow song so you know when it's time to clean up! WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO AN ARTSTERS PLAY SESSION? Paint can be messy, and you might find that your child prefers to use their fingers, toes, and even their mouth to explore it! It's our aim to give your child the opportunity to play with art however they wish, but it does mean that paint can make its way onto clothes, so old clothes for everyone are a must. You can also add an Artsters T-shirt to your order on our website, or purchase one in person. Please bring an old towel, wipes and anything else you need to get clean. WHERE DOES ARTSTERS PLAY TAKE PLACE? This session is held at our studio space at the Linwood Centre on Linwood Lane, LE2 6QN. There is a car park just outside the venue, and ample street parking too. Enter the Linwood Centre and come up the stairs to the first floor, or there is both a passenger lift and an accessible lift for use if needed. Look for the Artsters sign and join us in Unit L. For the comfort of everyone and to maximize space in the room, we kindly ask that pushchairs be left in your car if possible.
